The Global PA Network's aim is to champion the career development and opportunities for upskilling for the Secretarial/PA Profession.  We are delighted that Kingston University Business School agreed to work with us on Research into this profession.  Kingston's own enquiries indicated that very little research has been conducted into the secretarial profession over the last 30 years.  In that time rapid change has taken place and the role is far more complex than it ever was and recognition now needs to be given to this dramatic change.  Our joint research was published in the autumn 2009 and gives long overdue recognition to the challenges of the PA role in the 21st century and it will help us to further develop our training programmes.

Make sure your CV is working hard for you.

Your CV is a route to new opportunities. In itself, your CV won’t get you a new job, but well written, allied to a thoughtful marketing strategy, it will open doors previously closed and give you access to people who may be able to help you find new positions of interest.

 

The objective of your CV is to get people interested in you. Don’t get caught out by including every detail of your life and career: detail can be covered when you’re in a face-to-face interview.

 

There are no rules for CV writing in most countries, but here are some things I’d absolutely recommend you include....
