| Primary Research into 'Secretarial Work, Skills and Careers |
|
This research is the largest sample of academic research globally ever undertaken into the Secretarial/PA Profession... ...and was published on the 26th October 2009 and has received extensive media coverage in the national press and on radio.
In 2009 in conjunction with Kingston University Business School & Professor Katie Truss, Director at the Centre for Research into Employment, Skills & Society the Global PA Network completed 'Primary Research into 'Secretarial Work, Skills and Careers' which highlights the need for upskilling of the profession.
Quote:
"Our research shows how much Personal Assistants can contribute to their organisations. However, we were disappointed by the lack of recognition and poor career prospects experienced by many Personal Assistants. Given today's financial climate there is more of an incentive than ever for Personal Assistants to upskill and enhance their roles."
Professor Katie Truss, Director Centre for Research in Employment, Skills and Society, Kingston University London
