Most people like to think they make a positive first impression and
often it is to your advantage that you do as it may last for
a long time and forever, in the case of once-in-a-lifetime encounters.
A good first impression is the one that reflects the real you.
Sometimes however, this is not the case, your qualities and/or characteristics
may be misunderstood; e.g. some shy people can appear aloof. For some, the whole
experience of meeting someone new is riddled with anxiety and the ‘real you’ is
hidden, leaving an inaccurate reflection of the person you really are.
Knowing you are presenting yourself honestly to others in an initial
exchange gives you more control over whether and how a relationship might
develop; this practical and
interactive workshop will allow you to gain an insight into seeing yourself
as others do and develop an awareness of any “blind spots” that may put others
off, allowing you to reflect on whether you want to modify your first impression
style.
